Practical AI: From Content Intelligence to Automated Action
Telestream embeds AI capabilities into established workflows where the results can initiate meaningful actions, supporting tasks such as transcription, captioning, translation, metadata creation, content summarization, compliance checks, and quality control.
IBC attendees will get a first look at EDC Media Analyzer, which brings that same practical approach to one of the media supply chain’s most persistent manual tasks: understanding what is actually inside a content file before processing begins. By analyzing the video and audio essence rather than relying only on technical metadata, it can identify structural and editorial elements such as color bars, slates, black segments, credits, commercial breaks, caption tracks, and audio layouts. The resulting data then triggers automated downstream actions in EDC, Vantage, or third-party systems, helping organizations onboard large libraries faster.
Additional Practical AI highlights at IBC include Vantage AI Autoframe, a new tool that helps media teams rapidly repurpose traditional 16:9 content for social and mobile distribution. Built natively into Vantage, AI Autoframe uses intelligent subject tracking to automatically create vertical, square, and 4:5 versions while keeping speakers, action, and other important content centered. Multiple target formats can be generated concurrently in a single pass, helping teams scale multi-platform publishing without adding hours of manual reframing and editing.
Global Ingest: The Unified Entry Point for Modern Media Workflows
By bringing together live capture, camera cards, file-based ingest, playback, and scheduling, Global Ingest gives organizations a unified starting point for sports, news, entertainment, and other production workflows. Telestream Global Ingest enables growing-file workflows that can initiate AI enrichment, proxy generation, quality control, editorial review, and other downstream processes earlier, significantly reducing time to production. Pulse: The Next Era of Software-Based IP Monitoring
At IBC, Telestream will showcase Pulse, its software-based waveform monitoring and analysis platform for ST 2110 environments. Pulse brings together signal visualization, timing awareness, event logging, alarms, and customizable dashboards, giving users detailed insight into IP media supply chains through a multi-user interface. It is designed for applications ranging from engineering and camera shading to post-production, quality control, and remote production.
PRISM: Enterprise-Grade Monitoring for NDI & 2110 Workflows
Telestream will also demonstrate expanded NDI support for PRISM waveform monitors. Adding NDI alongside PRISM’s existing SDI and ST 2110 capabilities will extend its value to small and mid-sized IP production environments, where NDI is increasingly used for live video transport.
Multicast ABR: Extending Visibility Across Next-Generation Video Delivery
Telestream is expanding its IQ monitoring capabilities to support Multicast ABR, helping service providers maintain visibility as video distribution architectures evolve. Multicast ABR combines the efficiency of multicast delivery with the flexibility of adaptive bitrate streaming, making it possible to serve large audiences while reducing bandwidth demands. UP.Capture provides elastic ingest for live IP contribution feeds, with growing-file support that makes content available while recording is still underway. UP.Review gives distributed teams proxyless access to high-resolution media for playback, annotation, clipping, and editorial decision-making. UP.Lens provides real-time “eyes-on-glass” monitoring of live contribution feeds, automated detection of issues such as packet loss, jitter, frozen video, and audio silence, and historical stream rewind for faster troubleshooting.
MCP Support: Secure, Natural-Language Access to Media Operations
Native support for the Model Context Protocol (MCP) gives AI assistants and external applications a standardized, secure way to interact with services across the UP Platform. Through conversational commands, users and their own AI agents can create resources, configure services, or retrieve and interpret operational data without building custom interfaces for every capability. Every UP service can be exposed through MCP, with safeguards designed to prevent destructive operations and maintain appropriate control over production environments.
