Bringing Telestream Workflow Automation and Measurement to NAB New York

By Telestream Staff

Every major broadcast event tells us something about where the industry is headed. At IBC 2025, that message was clear: right now, transformation must be done in incremental, meaningful ways, with practical solutions to modern problems. Across Amsterdam, conversations centered on automation, interoperability, and the realities of hybrid workflows.

As we look ahead to NAB New York, those same themes are gaining momentum on this side of the Atlantic, shaping how media organizations will operate, collaborate, and innovate into 2026. We’ll be there (booth 513) to keep discussions moving forward.

Meeting the Industry Where It’s At

For more than 25 years, Telestream has helped the industry navigate transformation cycles, from digitization and file-based workflows to remote and live production, the transition to IP, and now into the era of cloud and AI. Change is our constant; as specs and formats evolve, so does Teletream, with new solutions to keep live, file-based, and remote workflows seamlessly connected.

At IBC, that focus was front and center in two key areas:

  • AI-driven workflow intelligence: adding true automation where it matters most.
  • End-to-end observability: giving customers the insight to act with confidence across every signal path.

At NAB New York, the industry embraces the convergence of traditional broadcast with the burgeoning creator economy. In their preview of the upcoming show, RedShark News writes:

Programming across both days tracks where audience attention is moving — short-form video, social-first series, live shopping and community-backed IP — while also surfacing practical issues such as creator rights, AI tools and revenue attribution. This year’s program emphasizes the growth of the creator economy and the expanding role of artificial intelligence in production and post-production workflows.

In a city considered by some to be the “capital of the world,” there’s perhaps no place better suited to the task of bringing together solutions that will meet the needs of both the old and new guard of the industry.

AI that Works: Automate and Accelerate

Artificial Intelligence has officially moved past the buzzword stage. For Telestream, it’s become a force multiplier, expanding what can be automated in production and post.

At NAB New York, we expect AI to continue to dominate the conversation, with conference sessions dedicated to exploring AI in newsrooms and creator workflows. The Future of Journalism track, which will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd, will take a deep dive into AI and automation in news production, featuring speakers from renowned institutions such as Axios and BBC Studios. This programming reinforces the industry’s shift from experimentation to implementation, and we’re looking forward to hearing from industry veterans and newbies alike on how they are incorporating AI into their everyday professional lives.

At the Telestream booth, we’ll be demonstrating the recently announced Vantage AI, which integrates speech and vision analysis directly within existing workflows. Tasks that once required manual input – captioning, summarization, profanity flagging, translation – can now run natively inside the system, without exporting media or exposing data to external clouds.

Our perspective remains simple: AI must enhance automation and accelerate workflows, not replace people. It should amplify creative and operational efficiency across content ingest, preparation, and quality control.

Global Ingest and Integrations for News, Live Sports, and More

Another major highlight we’ll continue to showcase in NYC is Global Ingest, Telestream’s new solution for harmonizing live, file, and camera card ingest across any workflow. It’s designed to serve everything from multi-cam studio setups to remote productions and fast-paced environments like news and sports. As the strategic entry point to the entire media lifecycle, shifting ingest from a “technical checkpoint” to the foundation of workflow intelligence enables real-time metadata enrichment, supercharges efficiency, and unlocks creative possibilities.

And, rather than forcing customers into a single architecture, Telestream connects with tools they already use, such as iconik, Mimir, Embrace, and Skylog by Broadteam, creating a bridge between media sources, storage, and editorial systems.

With the North America-hosted FIFA World Cup on the horizon, NAB New York will explore the “reinvention of live sports,” and we’re looking forward to discussing with attendees how these integrations make it possible for sports organizations to turn live feeds into high-value content faster, more reliably, and with less friction, from the coin toss to post-game highlights.

For live sports, events, and any high-stakes, quick-turn productions, these integrations offer:

  • Real-time metadata and clip generation during live events, shortening the path from event moment to content distribution.
  • Seamless orchestration across ingest, QC, clip creation, transcoding, and archive, without silos or manual handoffs.
  • Distributed editorial & production workflows, so that remote teams can access, search, and act on content as soon as it’s captured.
  • Scalability and flexibility across cloud / hybrid / on-prem deployments so sports operations of any size can adopt the same model.
  • Future readiness and interoperability through standards support, which is especially important given the pace of evolution in live broadcast technology.

Measurement: Confidence, Precision, Actional Insights

As workflows extend across cloud and on-prem environments, visibility has become mission-critical. Whether it’s live contribution, OTT delivery, or signal integrity in hybrid facilities, observability now underpins every aspect of operational success.

Telestream’s recent measurement enhancements empower broadcasters and service providers to monitor workflows with unprecedented precision. At NAB NY, we’ll showcase how IQ, ARGUS, PRISM, and SPG9000 together deliver full-chain visibility, monitoring everything from HDR color accuracy to ST 2110 synchronization and ABR streaming performance. These solutions give engineers, operators, and executives a shared, data-driven view of quality and compliance.

The updates offer deeper visibility into color fidelity, timing, and transport integrity,  enabling real-time diagnostics and fault isolation across complex live and hybrid deployments. With these capabilities, teams can confidently manage the most demanding signal paths, ensure delivery quality, and respond proactively rather than reactively.

Looking Ahead to NAB New York

This year’s NAB New York is about bringing together top-tier speakers and programming focused on future trends shaping the entire content ecosystem. That’s precisely where Telestream operates: at the intersection of creation, distribution, and assurance.

At NAB NY, we’ll build on the momentum from IBC with demonstrations that bring “practical transformation” to life, honing in on these core tenets:

  • Automation must be intelligent and context-aware.
  • Cloud adoption is becoming strategic, not absolute.
  • Monitoring and measurement are becoming business enablers, not just engineering tools.
  • Collaboration is driving convergence between broadcasters, streamers, and creators.

IBC2025 signaled that the media industry has entered a new era; one grounded in realism, not rhetoric. NAB New York will carry that story forward, showing how pragmatic technology choices are shaping the next wave of transformation.

Visitors will see how our ecosystem ties everything together – from live capture and ingest to quality monitoring, AI automation, and scalable distribution – proving that innovation and practicality can coexist. From Amsterdam to New York, our commitment is the same: helping media organizations move faster, operate with confidence, and deliver exceptional quality everywhere.

We’d love to see you there. Schedule a meeting with one of our experts to discover how we can help you deliver top-quality content in today’s dynamic, multi-platform environment.
